There is no privacy these days and your information, personal details and even your photos and face may be collected and used in ways you are not aware of.

It has come to light that a photo storage company offering apps for iPhone and Android phones, Ever from Everalbum, has been using your snapshots. The apps enable you to upload and store photos online. That’s fine, but the company sells facial recognition services among other things and how does it create those services? By training them using your photos.

Photos of you and your family are used to train the facial recognition software and services the company sells. The company says it does not actually sell your files or identifying information, but you still might want to think twice about uploading your photos.

The next time your face is recognised, it may be because the system was trained using your photos!
