Android 10 has been released by Google and to mark the occasion, the company has posted 10 things to know about Android 10.

There are things like a new Dark mode which is currently fashionable right now, at least among tech writers on the web. What do you think about dark mode? Some apps already have a dark mode, but it does not suit everything and some apps are better in normal mode.

Smart Reply enables actions to be performed more easily with messaging. So if there’s a link to a video or an address, then YouTube or Maps can be opened with a tap.

There are some privacy improvements and apps can be limited to accessing your location only when they are being used for example.

It is all very interesting, but not exactly relevant to most Android phone and tablet users. Most devices will not be updated to Android 10 and they are stuck on an old version. Android 9 is the most common on new phones right now, but if you have a one or two year old phone, you could well be using Android 8, with little chance of an upgrade to a newer version.
